Tutti is an experiment in building our own tools. It turns any image, video, webcam feed or live type into halftone art, reassembled from dots, your own shapes, or whatever you feed it. Download the results as a PNG, SVG, GIF or MP4 and use as you please.

Features
Swap the dot
Upload 2-7 SVGs on any mapping band to swap the dot for your own symbols. Recolour each band in Tutti or keep the SVG colours true to your design. This also works with multi-colour SVG’s.
Make a still move
Set a 3 or 5-second countdown, hit Record, and drag any control while it rolls – your moves become the animation. Ping-pong loops a GIF back and forth.
Save your presets
Save and load every setting, (including custom shapes) as a shareable file.
Export true vectors
Download clean, scalable SVG and keep refining in Illustrator, Affinity or Figma.
Halftone your camera
Choose Camera and your webcam becomes a live halftone on the canvas: point, frame, capture. Images and video work the same way.
Choose your type
Set text in any typeface you upload and watch the letterforms rebuild through the halftone in real-time.

Controls
Grid resolution, aspect ratio (incl. custom W:H), zoom, canvas colour, shape size / overlap, opacity, minimum size, invert, scale-with-tone, adjustable thresholds, rotation and jitter.
Custom marks
pload an SVG per band (default is a dot). Single-colour marks recolour to the band; multi-colour marks keep their own palette with Keep SVG colours.
Inputs
Image (JPG, PNG, WebP), video (MP4, MOV, WebM), live camera, or live text in any uploaded typeface (TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2).
Engine
Brightness mapped across 2–7 tonal bands; each band carries its own shape, colour and size.

Exports
PNG and SVG (vector, editable), MP4 (2000 px minimum), and GIF (live capture, optional ping-pong loop), with an optional 3 or 5-second record countdown.
Operation
Runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded to a server. Best on desktop, in Chrome or Safari.
